 La Crosse Technology Super Sport

NOAA Weather Alert - AM/FM Portable Radio

FROM

Holiday Contest and Sweeps recently had the pleasure to review

the La Crosse  NOAA Weather Band AM/FM Red Alert Super Sport

Radio from Wind & Weather. Their generosity in providing me with

this radio to review and then offer one to my readers in a giveaway,

will keep you and your family stay aware of severe weather all year long.

Not only can you find this unique radio at Wind & Weather's online

store, you can also find amazing deals on just about everything you

can use in your Home and Garden.  Being a Certified NOAA Severe

Weather Spotter, I can honestly say that Wind & Weather is the place to

 shop for all you weather equipment needs ranging from simple weather

products to the more advanced equipment.

This compact NOAA super sport weather radio has a blue LED back-lit screen that automatically turns to red and starts to flash during weather alerts in your area. It’s an effective warning system that’s hard to ignore. The handheld AM/FM radio features 7 different NOAA weather band channels to provide up-to-the-minute weather information that can help keep you safe at home or on the go. A made in the U.S.A. IC chip provides high-quality digital radio signals you can count on for excellent receiver performance. Has a built-in telescopic antenna and non-slip rubberized finish. A must for campers, hikers, boating enthusiasts, or anyone who wants to stay updated on the weather. Requires 3 AA alkaline batteries (not included).

When a Severe Weather Alert is issued by the National Weather Service, the blue screen will

change to a Red screen alerting you of approaching severe weather. Here is sample alert

from the National Weather Service, this is how your radio will sound when the alert is activated,

THIS IS ONLY A SAMPLE ALERT ONLY

A Built in .5 watt LED  flashlight is very bright and has high/low modes. This is a excellent light. Also, when a alert is issued the "red alert" will glow a bright red while the severe weather alert is broadcast.

The sides of the radio contain the following controls, which makes this radio highly unique

* Volume Controls

* LED Flashlight with the push of a button with On/Off High/Low Modes.

* Channel Control Button

* On/Off Control

* Headphone Jack

* Telescoping Antenna

* AM/FM Channel Selection Buttons

* Optional 6 volt a/c adapter

* Lanyard for easy carrying

This Radios compact size ( 2.87 in L x 5.15 in H x 1.29 in D) makes it

very easy to take with you wherever you may go.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is responsible for

transmitting the alerts for which this radio receives. Once a alert is broadcast this radio

goes into action by displaying the bright red screen and alert light on top, and then

broadcasting the alert. Here are a few of the alerts that will activate this radio.

Sia Botanics Desert Aloe & Jojoba Face Cream Review

I was invited to review Sia Botanics Desert Aloe & Jojoba Face Cream through Swaggable which is a site that gives you the chance to experience the product and write your review online.

The  Desert Aloe & Jojoba Face Cream is a powerful combination of desert botanicals that nourishes dry and parched skin at the cellular level.

 My skin at this time of year isn't dry but I do tend to get dry skin with the change of seasons. However I have used it three times already and I like the creaminess. It goes onto my skin without that heavy lotion feeling and it isn't greasy which I'm surprised by because when I squeezed some of the cream out it had a greasy oily look to it.

This is the picture of me after I have applied the  Desert Aloe & Jojoba Face Cream as you can see there isn't a greasy or shiny look to my skin.

The key ingredients are Jojoba, vitamin E, evening primrose and Aloe Vera. If you want to know more about Sia Botanics Desert Aloe & Jojoba Face Cream <- click here
