Revlon Youth FX System Review

I was hand picked through Crowdtap to test and review the new Revlon Youth FX System. 
In my kit I received...
1 sample of Youth FX Foundation
1 sample of Youth FX Concealer
1 sample of Youth FX Forehead primer
and 1sample of Youth FX Face/Neck Primer.

The Revlon Youth FX system is geared towards more mature skin like mine. These products are to fill and blur signs of aging to help you look years younger in just seconds.
As I'm going to be 50 years old this September I have been noticing more fine lines, darker spots and aging skin. 
Who doesn't want  products to help hide those signs of aging?! I know I do.

Lets talk about the primers. I like the fill + blur primer for face and neck. It was a bit to thick and took more time to apply onto skin but felt nice and seem to give me a better canvas for foundation. It did appear to fill in my fine lines that I have around my eyes. 

As for the Forehead primer I really could do without this product for two reasons first I don't have a need for this yet my forehead has no wrinkles or deep lines between the eyes and second is that the face/neck primer worked well. 

Onto the Foundation. The shade I picked is 330 Natural Tan with a SPF20 I have more color on my face from the sun so this shade was a good match. It did give me a full coverage and looked great. It was a lot thicker than what I normally would buy in a foundation. 
I noticed that using a foundation brush wasn't a option it needed to be applied with a sponge so it didn't appear blotchy.
It did blur my dark spots and filled in my fine lines. It stayed on over 12 hours and still looked fresh.
Below is a before. My skin has a lot of dark age spots.

My skin looks amazing. Its hard to tell I have dark spots!

There was one thing I disliked about the foundation it was sticky/tacky on my skin all day long. My skin felt awful. I couldn't wait to wash it off. If they could change that I would so buy this as my daily foundation.

The last product is fill + blur concealer in 04 medium. This was way to light in color to be medium. It applied smoothly but didn't give me the coverage I needed. As a matter of fact it made my dark spot stand out even more. I think I would need a  darker shade. Although the foundation did give me full coverage.

Revlon PhotoReady Collection Review

I was hand picked to sample the Revlon  PhotoReady Collection through Crowdtap. I received one PhotoReady Perfecting Primer and one Highlight (210 Gold Light) and Blush Duo (330 Nude kiss).

The Highlight & Blush Duo that I received came in the box that states 003 Medium. 

The Insta-blush come in 4 different colors they are Berry Kiss, Candy Kiss, Rose Gold Kiss and Nude Kiss.

 The Highlighting sticks come in 2 shades Gold Light and Pink Light.

 There are 3 Primers Perfecting, Brightening and Pore Reducing. 

I have been using all three of these Revlon products for about 2 weeks now and I must say I really love this collection.

 The first time I used it I didn't like it after applying my foundation. I had to wash it off because it made my foundation look caked on. After I applied it I put on my foundation I didn't wait. The second time I applied it I waited about 2 minutes than applied my foundation and it didn't have that caked on look. 

The PhotoReady Primer is light and airy. Applies very smoothly and blend into my skin wonderfully. It definitely gives me that awesome photo ready look! 

Now lets talk about the Revlon Hightlight & Blush Duo. These are now my two favorite products that I must have in my daily makeup routine.  

I love the color of these two products. They go great with my complexion. 
The picture before is before I blended them into my skin. 
Easy to apply you just draw a line on cheeks with blush and add a line either above or below your blush with highlight stick and blend into skin.  You also can apply highlight down your nose bridge.
The blush isn't too dark nor too light its perfect. 
These products last all day never needing to reapply.

I love the way my makeup looks everyday now thanks to Revlon PhotoReady Collection. 

My husband asked me one day if I did something different with my makeup because my skin looked as if I had a glow.

 I say if your husband notices your skin looks good stick with it.

Kiss True Volume Lashes Review

I was impressed with applying Kiss True Volume Lashes.

 I don't wear lashes very often but if I do I will be buying these. 

They look so natural like they are my own lashes.

I used Kiss Strip Lash Adhesive in clear.

They were a perfect fit for me so I didn't need to cut them. Before you apply them do make sure they fit you. I added some adhesive and wait a while for them to almost dry before I applied them.

Neutrogena Product Review

I believe Neutrogena is getting so much better in making their products. I'm liking the results I'm seeing using Neutrogena. 

I was hand picked to test and review a few products through Crowdtap.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector is the first tinted moisturizer that combines Retinol,  Broad Spectrum SPF 20 sunscreen, moisturizer and blendable sheer coverage. 

I was able to  apply  very easily and smoothly. As you can see in the pic above its creamy and does match the color on product.  

The above pic is my before and after. The coverage was great and  hid many of my imperfection giving my skin a natural look.

Neutrogena has 6 shades that work across skin tones.

I also received MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Pink Nude shade #100 I loved how this went on like butter and its because its make with fruit extracts mango and shea butter. The color last for a few hours and looks great.

I'm so happy I had received this product to test and review.

The Led Magnified Makeup Mirror with Cosmetic Organizer Base came in two pieces and was easy to fit mirror onto base.

 I love the clear look. It fits into my decor perfectly.

The mirror is awesome as you can see your skin clearly.

 My bathroom has no natural sunlight and the lights I have just don't work well to see what my skin and makeup truly looks like.

 With the Led lighting on the mirror I was able to pluck those unwanted eyebrow hairs so easily and not pinch my skin.

 The 7x magnifying mirror is  adjustable made applying my mascara and eyeliner a breeze.

The 9 multi size compartments organizer base is a plus I put all the products I use daily in there so I don't need to go through my drawers every day to look for them. As you can see in the picture above it can hold a lot of products.

Neutrogena Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-In Primer Review

I received Neutrogena Nourishing Long Wear EyeShadow + Built-in-Primer as a free sample. 

I love makeup and was excited to try this new product. I have never used Neutrogena makeup products.

What I was excited about was the Built-in-Primer. The palette was Soft Taupe #20 I love the colors in this eyeshadow palette. The colors are not to dark and are easy to build up if you prefer a darker result

I have used this palette everyday since I received it. I really love it. It goes on smoothly and hardly any fallout so you can use this after you put on your foundation.

 I liked that I didn't need an extra step in applying my eyeshadow because the eye primer is built in the eyeshadow. Its was great that my eyeshadow lasted all day without creasing.

 What a great idea to add the primer into the eyeshadow. It saves time and money.

My Rockin Christmas Holiday Look

I created this holiday look for a Crowdtap Mission to share with my fellow Tapper so they can recreate my Rockin Christmas makeup look.

I started out Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion applying it to my eyelids. I used bare Minerals Flash shade in my crease.Next I applied the blue Total Intensity eyeshadow by Prestige to inner and outer corners. I love this eyeshadow its so easy to apply and it bright. In the middle of my lids I added from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette the shade Creme Brulee ( which is a gold tone)and White Chocolate as my brow highlighter.

Using black liquid eyeliner I made a winged look. I lined my waterline with Pixi Brighten crayon and applied Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajl liner from outer corner to middle of eyes. What brings this eye look altogether is Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves mascara.  Last I applied Milani Candy Apple lipstick.

I filled in my brows using Milani Brow Fix.

I used this Jergens Ultra Healing Moisture to see if the #1WeekToGorgeous (hashtag you can checkout) challenge would really heal my hands. My hands are starting to show their age slowly and with winter here my hands get drier. After taking this challenge  my skin looks healthier and they feel so much softer. The moisturizer was easy to rub into skin has a light scent and the right consistency. It locked in the moisture which helped heal my hands.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Clean and Crisp taste of  Resource Spring Water.

 This product contains Natural Electroltes for taste and has 0 calories. Resource is a great way for me to refresh my body after activities.

                         Hair Food

What a great name for this beauty product Hair Food. My hair was soft, smooth and manageable after just one use.

I left in after shampooing for about 10 minutes and rinsed it. I noticed how my hair was easier to comb through no tangles. It moisturized my hair and left a sweet scent. Hair Food is infused with honey and apricot fragrance. You can find this at Target. This will be my weekly product.

                                Rimmel London Makeup Products

 Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara has a  unique broken heart shaped brush that can get into those corners and make your eyes pop. It does what it claims. It amplified and gave my lashes volume without the clumping left behind. #Rockinit & #Rimmel

Moisture Renew Lipstick I received was  Berry Rose. This shade is HOT! When applying it went on smoothly and lasted most of my work day. I noticed when people spoke to me their eyes were attracted to my lips. 

Moisture Renew Lip Liner  I really must say I wasn't real impressed with it. Its a clear lip liner that helps define your lips and prevents colour from feathering. I'm really not sure how well it worked I did apply it before my lipstick but really didn't notice a big difference through the day.

                 Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa

There is nothing better than a Hot cup of Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa  made with hot milk. Its so rich and chocolatey. There isn't a better tasting cocoa out there. It come is two flavors Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate. I received a package of the Milk Chocolate that really has a delicious flavor. #SwissMissSimplyCocoa

Covergirl + Olay FaceLift Effect Review

I was excited to get into this bzzagent campaign. I'm always on the look out for better coverage in a foundation without looking like I'm wearing a ton of it.

I started to use this the first week I received this. I wore the foundation on  four different days.

 I really liked that it was creamy like a whipped mousse texture it applied smoothly and the medium shade went great with my skin tone. I wasn't happy with the way it felt on my skin through the day. It felt dewy. I had used a foundation brush to apply it.

A week later I wanted to give it another try but this time I used a sponge to apply it with and WOW I noticed that I didn't have that dewy feeling. I guess the foundation brush just put too much foundation on. I now have a flawless coverage it helps to deduce the look of my fine lines in an instant.

I tested the Covergirl + Olay De-Puffer which also is a medium coverage eye concealer. Many women have puffiness and dark circles under their eyes. I tend to when I don't get enough sleep or drink enough water. This De-Puffer works well in covering up those dark circles but I'm not sure about the puffiness under the eyes as I don't have that right now. Its easy to use. You just squeeze some onto the tip and apply under your eyes in a back and forth motion for 30 seconds then blend or press into area. I used this without any foundation and it looked great. 

When I used both the foundation and the concealer together I got a flawless coverage that I was really happy with.

Now below is my before and after pictures. I think my skin looks amazing after applying the Covergirl + Olay FaceLift Firming Effect Makeup I can really see the difference my skin tone looks more even.

My son took the two-week trial using Paula's Choice Clear Acne Regular Strength Kit. Its a skin care routine kit that included three products.

STEP 1

The first step was to use the Paula's Choice Pore Normalizing Cleanser day and night this cleans your skin of all dead skin cells and dissolves oil that can clog your pores. My son's skin is a bit oily and he tends to have break outs a lot. This does a great job of cleaning his skin.

You just splash your face with water take a small amount of cleanser and begin to face your face be sure not to get it into your eyes then rinse.

My son's acne especially around his hairline had a  lot of redness. Being in sports it made it worst all the sweat would run down his face.

STEP 3

This is the last step in the kit. Paula's Choice Daily Skin Clearing Treatment. This treatment visibly reduces red marks, immediately reduces blemishes and leaves a  matte finish that can't be seen on skin. You use this take a small amount and rubbed it into affect areas and leave on you don't rinse. You may use this one to three times daily.

As you can see in his before picture around his nose area and forehead his has a lot of acne and redness.

I have to tell you this was a tough two-week trial because with most young  teenage boys they don't like to wash and especially not everyday. I had to always remind him day and night for the first week to use these products. What surprised me was the second week he didn't need to be told because he really liked that it was an easy routine and the redness from his acne started to disappear and his skin was slowly looking really good. These products didn't harm or irritate his skin in the least nor did they dry out his skin like some acne skin products do.

True Smooth Coolway Review

True Smooth Coolway

This is a new technology that allows you to avoid using the flat iron. The True Smooth contains Coolways groundbreaking Amino Lock MAB molecule which is activated by blow drying your hair.

 While your hair is still wet you spray anywhere from 25 to 50 sprays and then comb through and blow dry your hair.

I do tend to use my flat iron almost daily so a product that claims to eliminate having to use the flat iron is something I want to test out.

After I washed my hair I sprayed it down with the True Smooth then combed it through As you can see the before picture is showing my hair wet and ready for the blow dryer.

It did make blowing easier and a bit faster and my hair did come out a lot smoother but as you may see in the after picture some of my hair was dried out. One of the ingredients they use is alcohol and that is no good on my hair as my hair is dry to begin with and alcohol makes it worst.

This is the first time I have used e.l.f products I won this and other e.l.f products on Instagram from _funhairandmakeup 

 This box package is a five piece brown eye set. It contains 1 eyeshadow trio 1 liquid eyeliner 1 eyelash curler 1 eyeshadow brush & 1 mascara.

I love the eyeshadow colors!! They applied nicely and are bright & shimmery. 

I like the eyelash curler works much better then the one I own. I wasn't impressed with the mascara or the eyeliner. The mascara was a quite dry and I had to apply four coats to get the look I wanted. The eyeliner brush just didn't work as well as it should. 

Below is the Look at achieved with these products. I'm happy with this e.l.f get the look set.
